You Are Not Alone
Whether you are a newbie or you’ve been at this game for a while, know that there are other people going through the same application and (sometimes) infuriating job search process. And you can use this to your advantage.
If you have an interest in a certain career path or looking for a job in your field, find networking groups on platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook and Telegram. Attended a networking event? Found likely connections who share the same interests as you? Create a WhatsApp group and keep in touch with relevant job posts and advice.
Keep each other motivated and active. You could be an extra cheery science geek, a young, hopeful prodigy or a huggable robot. No matter what, you will find people that can help you with your journey to job seeking. You just have to look through the vast beyond, also called the internet.
Surround yourself with invaluable connections and don’t be afraid to ask for help or advice when needed. Everyone needs a pick-me-up now and then. Don’t limit yourself to job seekers only. Connect with recruiters and employees from a company you intend to work for, or ex-colleagues perhaps.
Together with friends, everything becomes a lot more fun.
