Step Outside Your Tower
If you stay content with your existing skills and talent, you will miss out on opportunities that would allow you to grow. Don't limit yourself to the knowledge you already have, you have to jump out of your comfort zone and explore the new trends and relevant skills and technologies that will better yourself and keep you ahead of the game.
Today’s competitive market requires the drive for learning, upskilling and even reskilling. You have a whole world of information at your feet. Don’t know something you need to know? Go out there and search for what you need.
Online courses, webinars, virtual or physical conventions, videos and even networking events may help you on your way to achieving success; be it for a job, a change in career paths or just to increase your personal growth. Use your time to learn new things, and if it helps, connect with someone, or find a “study group” who share the same interests. Teach each other and learn from each other; group learning can help keep you motivated.
Leaving your tower is the best thing you can ever do. It may be daunting and it may be terrifying, but take a leap of faith. Be courageous.
